چکیده

Due to the various hazards of using synthetic chemical compounds in pharmaceutics, agriculture, and industry, scientists researchers do their best explore assess new green natural from resources with potent activity. The essential oil (EO) resin collected Araucaria heterophylla Salisb. was extracted by microwave technique chemically characterized via GC-MS analysis. Furthermore, extract EO assessed for its antioxidant phytotoxic activities. has 33 compounds, mainly terpenes (98.23%), major were α-pinene (62.57%), β-pinene (6.60%), germacrene D (5.88%), β-caryophyllene (3.56%). showed substantial activity, where it IC50 values 142.42 118.03 mg L−1 DPPH ABTS, respectively. On other hand, revealed considerable phytotoxicity against weed Chenopodium murale, 304.0, 230.1, 147.1 L−1, seed germination, seedling shoot growth, root Moreover, same pattern allelopathic inhibition Sonchus oleraceus, 295.7, 224.5, 106.1 present study that extraction affects constituents EO, particularly quantitative composition. A. also activity weeds. Therefore, can be considered a promising resource could integrated into management approach. However, further is recommended deep characterization authentic evaluation mode action(s) on wide spectrum

Chemical and biological investigation of Araucaria heterophylla Salisb. resin.

Three labdane diterpenes, namely lambda-8(17),14-diene, 13-epicupressic acid, and 13-Oacetyl-13-epicupressic acid, were isolated from the resin collected from stem exudates of Araucaria heterophylla Salisb. (Araucariaceae). The isolated compounds were identified using different spectroscopic methods (1H NMR, 13C NMR, HMQC, HMBC and COSY). The resin extract showed antiulcerogenic activity agains...
